WELCOME
The 1st International Conference on Electrorheological Fluids and Magnetorheological Suspensions took place nearly 20 years ago. The 10th Conference (ERMR 2006), which will be held in Lake Tahoe, USA on June 18-22, 2006, will continue the same tradition by providing an arena for researchers around the world to present their new findings in this field. In recent years, the research and development of ER/MR materials, devices and systems has significantly increased.
One of the unique features of ERMR Conferences is that they offer a wide range of issues from chemistry to engineering applications of ER/MR materials. All oral presentations are held in a single session to enhance the interaction between the scientists and engineers.
The ERMR 2006 topics include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Materials development and processing techniques
- Material properties and characterization
- Device development
- Theoretical modeling for devices and systems
- System integration and control techniques
- Applications in mechanical systems and structures
The ERMR 2006 Conference will include invited lectures by prominent leaders in the field.
